Jun 28, 2013 | Everyday Kidz, Everyday Youth

5th and 6th graders took some big steps towards godliness this year, studying the Book of Proverbs together in “Route 56” (so named because they’re learning to follow the right path with Jesus, and it’s for 5th and 6th graders– pretty clever, right?).
But it’s the end of the road for our 6th graders… and the beginning! Next year, they’re joining the Everyday Youth Group. But this important transition was no walk in the park (well, parts of it were literally a walk in the park). Our young people had to complete 12 daunting challenges before they earned the right of passage.
They had to sit on a slide toget

her. And if you think that sounds easy, you should try it! They had to buy and deliver Dr. Pepper to an Everyday Church participant who is recovering from surgery. Having completed these feats of cunning, courage, and love– they entered Youth Group for the first time to a welcome party put on by Everyday students.

Jun 2, 2013 | Community Impact, Everyday Kidz
Everyday Church is sponsoring a free tennis clinic for kids in 1st-5th grade, June 13th & 14th 3-5:30pm and June 15th 8:30-11:00am. Experienced tennis instructors are traveling to NYC from one of Everyday Church’s partner churches (Southeast Christian Church) to offer their expertise.
We’ll introduce area kids to tennis, and teach the basics of play through a variety of fun exercises. In years past, neighborhood parents and students have expressed appreciation for this fun, free, enriching activity.
If you know a 1st-5th Grader who would like to participate, or if you are interested in volunteering with us, contact Wendy.
May 20, 2013 | Everyday Kidz, Teaching
Everyday Kidz is taking a big step this June: we’re adding a nursery. That’s right… bring on your gurgling, giggling, crying, beautiful little bundles of joy!
God cares deeply for children, and Everyday Kidz strives to provide a loving, safe environment for children of all ages during our Teaching Services. We currently produce fun, faith-building experiences for children ages 2 to 12. We’re now ready to grow younger. Starting in June, expect your littlest ones to be loved, nurtured, and engaged by a team of trained caregivers in our new nursery. Spread the word!If you’d like to be one of our committed volunteers, please let us know. We can get the ball rolling on a background check, and get you plugged into our training process. We’ll always make room on the Everyday Kidz team for qualified volunteers who love God and love kids. Contact Wendy for more information: wendy@everydaycc.com.
May 15, 2013 | Events, Everyday Groups, Everyday Kidz
Everyday Kidz just finished a lesson series about Moses and God’s dramatic rescue of his people from Egypt. Now the Everyday Family Group is planning a field trip to the Metropolitan Museum of Art for this Sunday to visit their Ancient Egypt exhibit.
We will meet at the Bennett’s apartment at 2:00pm and ride the train together to the museum. The church will cover the donation cost of the tickets to the museum. We’ll spend an hour there and then individuals can decide if they want to stay longer (museum before closes at 5:30pm).
You don’t need to be a participant of the Everyday Family Group to come. Everyone is welcome to join us!
