Apr 6, 2013 | Everyday Groups, Prayer
There’s a new Everyday Group brewing. We’re calling it the Creativity Group, because we want to champion creativity in our neighborhood for God’s glory. We are all created in the image of God, the ultimate Creator. Therefore we all have creative potential within us. Humanity has always been in the business of creating– culture, art, music, family, poetry, organization, dance, you name it. This group will be a community that champions creativity to the glory of God, whether in our neighborhoods, our schools, our church, or our city.
Please pray for:
1) Me as I launch this new group.
2) Our leadership team: Jordan, Liz, BJ, Andrea, Casey, & Kelsey.
3) New people to get involved. (Is it you? A friend? A family member?)

Mar 27, 2013 | Prayer
Every day in the Temple and in people’s homes they continued teaching the people and telling the Good News—that Jesus is the Christ. (Acts 5:42, NCV)
We have really good news to share. Jesus is the One! He has made a path for us to a new, full life– the life of the dreams we never dared to dream. Jesus is the God who seems too good to be true, but is true. On Easter, we have an incredible opportunity to share Jesus with others who long for good news.
Many of our neighbors, family, friends, co-workers, and classmates will be looking for a service to attend on Easter Sunday. So please pray:
1. God would draw people to himself through Everyday Church. And while you’re at it, spread the word! Post info about our service on facebook, or tweet it.
2. For specific people you know. And while you’re at it, be bold and invite people. Talk to your family and encourage them to visit your faith-family. Send some text messages, emails, make some calls– whatever– just don’t keep the good news to yourself.
3. That our service is powerful, effective, encouraging, and honors God.

Mar 13, 2013 | Everyday Youth, In the News, Prayer
The Everyday Youth Group is alive and well, and even making headlines!
A few weeks ago at the height of the silly viral Youtube phenomenon called “The Harlem Shake,” we recorded our own version. A local online news publication called DNAinfo.com included our video in a story here. Then that same story was picked up by AM New York, a commuter paper that goes out to about 350K subway riders. You can watch the video here: Everyday Youth Group Harlem Shake.
We’re not sure how God might use this, but there are so many kids in NYC who do not know Christ. Please pray that God would provide opportunities to get more and more kids involved with this youth group whether it is through the funny video we made, or any other way. Thank you for your prayers.
