Jun 2, 2013 | Community Impact, Everyday Kidz
Everyday Church is sponsoring a free tennis clinic for kids in 1st-5th grade, June 13th & 14th 3-5:30pm and June 15th 8:30-11:00am. Experienced tennis instructors are traveling to NYC from one of Everyday Church’s partner churches (Southeast Christian Church) to offer their expertise.
We’ll introduce area kids to tennis, and teach the basics of play through a variety of fun exercises. In years past, neighborhood parents and students have expressed appreciation for this fun, free, enriching activity.
If you know a 1st-5th Grader who would like to participate, or if you are interested in volunteering with us, contact Wendy.

Is life supposed to be this difficult? Am I blowing it, or is God holding out on me? What’s really going on here? There’s the reality we see with the eyes in our heads, and a deeper reality we can only see with the eyes of our hearts. Without wisdom to see through all the smoke and mirrors, we’ll never experience the full life Jesus promised.

May 30, 2013 | Community Impact, Everyday Groups
After we painted a beautiful mural for a local school called Inwood Academy for Leadership, they named their outdoor seating area the “Everyday Garden.” Now the Everyday Inwood Group is taking the next step! This Sunday, we’re going to do some digging and planting. You can help us make something grow. In the future, we’re dreaming about planting food, and even educating local students about nutrition.
Get your hands ready for a worthy cause this Sunday, 12p-2p. Invite a friend along– anyone is welcome to come.
For more information, contact Kate.

This June 2nd, dust off your paintbrushes, cameras, screenplays, and… well, whatever you like to create! Everyday Church is launching a new group called the Everyday Creativity Group.
Sundays, 11a-1p, 204th St & Vermilyea Ave
According to Nathan, Group Leader: “The Creativity Group champions creativity of all kinds in Inwood and Washington Heights. We are all created in the image of God, the ultimate Creator. Therefore we all have creative potential waiting to be discovered and empowered to bring glory to God– whether students, amateur artists, hobbyists, professionals, or creativity fans young and old! We strive to be a diverse community that champions creativity in our neighborhood, our schools, our church, or our city. Join us!”

May 28, 2013 | Prayer, Teaching

We plan to take another important step with our Teaching Services this October: we intend to increase the frequency of these gatherings from every-other week (as they are now) to every week. Everyday Groups are the most important way we relate to one another as a church, and our Teaching Services are one of the many things we do to support them. That focus isn’t changing. But it is time to take this next natural step with our services.
We’ll share more information over the coming months, but the most important thing we can all do to support this important development is to pray that:
* Everyday Groups benefit immensely from the added momentum our Teaching Services can provide.
* More Everyday people take advantage of the opportunities to volunteer this will provide, and experience the sense of significance and ownership that comes from being a part of this worthy endeavor.
* God uses this to draw more people to himself, and uses us to bring others along.
* God gives us all wisdom and courage to follow his lead as we establish this new church.
