Special Announcement: A Reminder for Sunday March 27th!

Join us in helping  more than 100 children in Inwood, survive the toughest week of their young lives: NY State Testing Week. These tests are no joke. Watch the video below to find out why they’re so important but also so, extremely difficult — Liz shares a question from one and you won’t BELIEVE what grade level it’s for.

To help, our faith family is coming together to bless the children and teachers in Inwood by packing giftbags with snacks and notes of encouragement that will help keep students full, focused and hopefully a little more confident when they walk into testing this April.

You can help by bringing any of the following items to church this Sunday morning March 27,  or by signing up to help serve or provide food for a teacher breakfast at the start of testing week (April 5th). Email kate@everydaycc.com to sign up.

Items to donate:

  • Non-peanut granola bars
  • Organic Juice Boxes
  • Blow pops (lollipops with gum)
  • Money to support a contribution of school supplies (ECC is purchasing in bulk, and you can help defray the $250 cost)

On Sunday April 3rd, after service, we’ll assemble the bags together as a church, so plan to be there!

NO SERVICE 1/24: Blizzard Conditions, stay safe guys!

Friends, we have to cancel service this Sunday on account of the blizzard conditions we’re experiencing. Take the time this Sunday to continue to pray for this church, our city, and safety for the millions of people in the Northeast who are being impacted by this snowstorm. Many may not have the resources they need to stay warm, dry and safe. Please pray for protection and mercy for those who are suffering this weekend.

If you’re able to spend some quality time with your faith family today or tomorrow, please do! Enjoy this time and stay safe. We love you all deeply, and are praying for you.

Will you pray with us? A week of prayer to start the year

When we gather in prayer, we believe that our Father in heaven hears us. Even more importantly – we believe that He is with us when we gather in prayer, and that He even answers our prayers. Everyday Church was literally prayed into existence. We believe in the power of prayer to change hearts, heal the sick and bring the kingdom of God to our neighborhood and our city. When we pray together, powerful things happen. So to start 2016, we’d like to invite you to join us in the most impactful thing we can do as a faith family: praying together. We have a powerful God on our side who is listening and ready to be in conversation with us. So will you join us in praying every day?

For the week of Jan 18-24, there will be a prayer gathering somewhere in our neighborhood – at least one – every day. There is also a prayer focus and scripture for each day as well. Make time on your schedule to be at as many of these events as you can and to pray with us wherever you are throughout this week. Let’s be radical in our commitment to pray together and be especially intentional to speak and listen to our Father during this week.

Will you join us in this prayer commitment? We hope you will. Let’s prepare our hearts to be amazed by the powerful God we serve. There’s no telling what He may do in response to our faithfulness.

Rust & Moth: A New Teaching Series

First off, relax. The point of this series isn’t to get you to give money to Everyday Church. This isn’t a time-share presentation.

This series is about following Jesus, and he taught more about money than he did about heaven. Contrary to what many people think, our relationship to stuff is a deeply spiritual issue. Many of us are in bondage to debt, or consumed with worry and pressure about money, or unable to enjoy the simple things in life, because instead of using money, we’re serving money. Jesus is the answer. Join us for an inspiring, challenging, practical look at how we can be free in him, no longer owned by the things we own.

Pray For Us: An Update From Wendy

Please pray for our next sermon series, “Save the Date”. Not all days are the same. Some days are life changing. Weddings, birthdays, and graduations mark endings and beginnings of important seasons of our lives. God wants to put a date like that on each of our calendars, a date that will mark, for all eternity, our rebirth into his forever family. It’s called baptism.

Pray for the people in our church who are considering this big decision. Pray that we will continue to make disciples at Everyday Church.
