Pray For Us: An Update From Wendy

This past Sunday many of us celebrated our fathers, thanking them for their impact and love for us. But for millions of kids in the US and many living in our neighborhood, Father’s Day is a painful reminder that their dad is not around.

“But you, God see the trouble of the afflicted; you consider their grief and take it in hand. The victims commit themselves to you; you are the helper of the fatherless.” Psalms 10:14

Please pray for opportunities for caring adults to be in their lives to help fill the gap that their fathers leave. Pray they would know their heavenly Father who loves them unconditionally.

Pray For Us: An Update From Matt

Summer Nights 2014We are really excited about what God has in store for the Everyday Youth Group this summer. We are focussing on reaching out and connecting with other middle- and high-school aged kids in our community. Please pray for our “summer nights”– BBQ’s we will be having in the park this summer.

Pray the word gets out and enthusiasm spreads to other kids outside our church to come hang out.

Pray our kids do a great job providing hospitality and including them in the group.

But sometimes praying with our children can be challenging. At the Family Prayer Brunch, we will provide some activities for kids of all ages, from babies to teenagers, to help get us praying together as families.

The High Schoolers in Everyday Youth Group are excited for this year’s summer conference called MOVE. The conference, in Maryland, is designed to help our youth figure out their place in this world and how God can and will use them to change it. There will be worship, preaching, small group study and community building, all with hundreds of other kids their age. Please pray that this trip would come together well logistically, and also that it would have a long lasting impact on the youth of Everyday Church.

Pray:

Every student connected to our community is able to attend.

This conference helps them grow in their relationship with Christ.

For the leadership of the conference, that they would be led by the Spirit in their preparation and planning.
