Christmas Tree Farm Trip

The Everyday Adventure Group is coordinating an all-church trip to the Plains View Christmas Tree Farm in Pleasant Valley, NY. It’s the family farm of Everyday Church’s own, Amanda Wade. You can cut your own tree to bring home if you like. OR just join us at the farm for a tractor hay ride, cookies, hot drinks and fun in the country with friends.

Visit the website for more info: www.plainsviewfarm.com

We plan to head up the afternoon of December 5th. If the weather is unsuitable, we’ll reschedule for December 12th. For more info, email larry@everydaycc.com.

Reasonable Faith: This Sunday

Reasonable FaithDo we have enough evidence to believe in Christianity? Is evidence really necessary? If so, what kind of evidence counts? Reasonable Faith seeks to help answer these questions. This month we are joined by guest speaker Jeton Zeka.

Jeton grew up half way around the world in Kosovo. Even though Jeton grew up in a Muslim family, he made a bold decision to follow Christ. He is going to share with us about how both Christian evidences and friendship played key roles in his conversion to Christianity and the obstacles he had to overcome to make this life changing decision. In addition, we have asked him to also share a little more about the ministry in Kosovo and how the clothes we have donated can help the ministry there.

We’ll have pizza at 1:30p. Presentation will begin at 2:pm.
We meet at the office of the Everyday Christian Church at 5030 Broadway, Suite 630.

Reasonable Faith is sponsored by the Heart & Mind Everyday Group.

Medieval Festival Diaper Changing Station

Medieval Festival 2011-5Every year at the Medieval Festival that meets in Ft. Tryon Park, there are loads of mommas with babies that have some diapers that need to be changed. That’s why the Mom’s Refreshment group sponsors a Diaper Changing Station! This year the festival is on Sunday, October 4th. We’re looking for ladies who would be willing to borrow one of the lovely medieval costumes provided by the festival and give an hour of your afternoon to help some mommas out. You will get to host with somebody else too, which means some talking with another adult! So let Wendy know if you are interested in an hour shift. We will do 1 o’clock, 2, 3, 4, and 5 o’clock shifts.

Email wendy@everydaycc.com.

Bronx GroupThere’s a new Everyday Group brewing at Everyday Church! They are toying with the name: “Heart and Mind” (“Love God with all your heart and mind” Matthew 22:37). According to the leaders: “We will focus our discussions on  historical and scientific evidences for belief in God, the authenticity of Christ, the reliability of the Biblical scriptures through the centuries.  Also we want to learn how to have the heart to share our faith through serving others and sharing what we learn.” The first meeting will be on June 5th at 7pm in Riverdale. They will also meet on June 12th, 19th and 28th.

If you are interested in joining or have questions, you can call or text Philip at 917-805-2629.
