Feb 15, 2013 | Community Impact, Everyday Kidz
Undivided attention from a caring adult is important to children, especially when they are learning division! We’re partnering with a local public school to offer free math tutoring to young students. Don’t worry, you don’t have to be a math expert. We’ve designed activities that any patient, caring adult can use to give a local student a little more confidence for the State Exams. And we’ll have some math experts on hand to help
Join other volunteers from Everyday Church and make a difference in our community. Contact Wendy and get involved: wendy@everydaycc.com. Or find out more this Sunday.
There will be four workshops, Saturdays 9:30am-11:00am.

Feb 11, 2013 | Everyday Youth, Prayer
Everyday Youth Group is going well. We have a strong team of adults and great kids involved. It feels like God is laying a foundation for us to reach out and serve many young people in Washington Heights and Inwood. We had a Superbowl party last Sunday and there were 30 people crammed into our apartment!
Please pray:
* for the leadership of this group to have wisdom and unity.
* that our group to continue to grow and reach more teenagers.
* that our students to take steps closer to God, and make any decisions that the Spirit lays on their hearts.
Thank you!

Jan 30, 2013 | Everyday Kidz, Prayer
Last Sunday our church focused on our need for Christian friendship. The kids looked at many verses in the New Testament that discuss how we treat “one another.” If you haven’t read these verses in awhile I suggest you go to www.biblegateway.com and do a keyword search for “one another” and “each other.” After dozens of verses I’m sure you’ll be convinced you want this kind of friendship!
Everyday Kidz were convinced too! They worked together to write in their own words what they want friendship to look like for Everyday Kidz. We plan to start every lesson in the coming months by reading this dream together:
“In Everyday Kidz we… listen… pray for one another… help… try to agree… won’t hold a grudge… laugh together… are understanding… forgive… encourage each other… share our lives… serve… put up with each other even when things get on our nerves… are family.”
What a reminder! This kind of friendship won’t be easy, but it’s possible with the Lord’s help. Let’s pray together and make it happen.
