Musicians, the next Band Jam is Saturday, May 17, 2pm.
According to Nathan (worship pastor): “It’s open for people who are interested in being a part of the band. I use it as a first step to get to know someone musically before they join us for a rehearsal on a Sunday.”

Why are we canceling church?!
Well, that’s a strange question, because it isn’t possible to “cancel church.” Remember, church is not a building or an event. Church is a people! That’s why this is an Everyday Church, not a Sunday Church. We’re more interested in being the church, every day, than we are in going to church. We think God is too.
So we haven’t cancelled church, nor could we if we wanted to. We’ve just cancelled one of the many things the church does. And hey, it’s only one Sunday! I know, I know… we miss you too! Absence really does make the heart grow fonder. No worries, though. We’ll resume our Weekly Teaching Services with a brand new series of messages next week. Stay tuned!
This weekend is our annual Rest Retreat, and many Everyday Participants will be away. Not going on the retreat? Please use the time you’ve set aside to attend our teaching service to enjoy some godly rest: stop, rest, delight, and contemplate.
Everyday Groups are meeting as usual. Not in a group? Contact Us for information.

“HOPE is a gathering designed for the women of New York City, women from all walks of life who long to experience God’s hope in their lives and in their city.
“Through worship, prayer, teaching, and discussion we will set our eyes on Jesus and seek to join God in bringing His hope to our world.
“Our lives and our city are often full of sorrow, disappointment, injustice, pain, and fear. All of these situations in our own life and in the world around us, often leave us feeling hopeless. And even on ‘good days’ when the sun is shining and we long to bring hope to others, we can often feel ill-equipped and overwhelmed by all of the people and situations that need help and hope.
Excellent speakers, enriching discussion sessions, and networking with other NYC women of faith. Mark your calendar: June 6th & 7th.
Apr 25, 2014 | Prayer
This May 4th is our next Baptism Service. Some people have already made this important decision, and I’m sure others are considering it, but don’t feel “ready.” Maybe that’s you? It’s normal to feel that way. This is a very big deal, this joining Jesus in his death and resurrection, and we’re never “ready.” That’s the whole point. Baptism isn’t about what we can do. It’s about what Jesus has done for us.
Pray with me: “Father, please give the people who are planning to be baptized extraordinary peace and joy. Pour out your Spirit on them. And please prompt others to join them– to surrender to you and enjoy the freedom of your forgiveness. Amen.”
