This Sunday: “unworthy”

God is beyond our comprehension, but has made himself approachable. He has revealed a path to wisdom and power that is so widely available we tend to take it for granted. In a sense, it’s hidden right out in the open.

There was once an unnamed Roman officer who had the audacity to go directly to God, and became one of God’s unnamed heroes. His example illustrates something we need today as much as ever. So much of the Bible records God’s amazing activity. What this unnamed soldier did actually amazed God.

Come hear the story of our next unnamed hero this Sunday, 11:00am, 4862 Broadway (btwn Academy and 204th) *. During this series, Everyday Kids will be “Superhero Academy,” learning how God has given us all special talents and abilities that we can use to be heroes and save the day. Invite the little ones in your life to join us.

This Sunday: “unexpected”

We all want our lives to matter. If life could be interesting, that would be even better. Is it too much to ask for life to be thrilling?

There must be more to life than the routine of staying alive.

There is a story in the Bible about an everyday person, an unnamed girl who did something unexpected, and it changed everything. Her story matters for us today, because it points to the bigger, truer Story– the hidden story that is unfolding amid our daily grind.

There’s more to your life than meets the eye. This Sunday, 11:00 a.m., at 4862 Broadway. *

Introducing… Our Third Home Group!

This Sunday, a new Everyday Church Home Group is meeting for the first time. Matt and Kala Mueller are hosting this group from 12pm-2pm. As we begin a series of teaching and discussions called Unnamed, it’s a great time to get involved. For more information about participating in this new Home Group (or another), Contact us. These smaller gatherings are focused on genuine relationships and the stories of the Bible. Both longtime Christians and people interested in exploring faith express appreciation for the warm, accepting atmosphere, sincere Truth-seeking, and accessible approach.

Unnamed

God, why don’t you do something? Why don’t you fix this?

Who hasn’t thought that at one point or another?

In our personal lives, waiting for that next open door can be a faith killer. And one look at the world… where do we even start? Wars,  famine, bigotry, injustice, poverty, oppression. Why doesn’t God step in?

What if we’ve got the wrong idea about how God works? What if he is responding, but we don’t know how to see it? And maybe we play a bigger role in God’s plan than we would ever dare to imagine.

Come this Sunday for the beginning of a new series of teaching and discussion called unnamed. For the schedule, visit our Gatherings page.

Superhero Academy

Everyday Kidz will be “Superhero Academy” for the next several Teaching gatherings (schedule: Gatherings). We will be learning how God has given us all special talents and abilities that we can use to be heroes and save the day! Invite the little ones in your life to join us this Sunday at 4862 Broadway * (map) at 11:00a.m. for a fun, encouraging church experience.

Feliz Navidad!

It is more blessed to give than to receive,” said the Lord (Acts 20:35, NLT). Local students who received Christmas gifts from Everyday Church made this “thank you” video, and it’s proof of Jesus’ words. It’s hard to watch this and not feel pretty good about giving!
