We’re embarking on an exciting journey as a family for the next 40 days, and hope that you will join us. The “I Was A Stranger” / Fui Extranjero, prayer challenge, is a mission to understand God’s heart for immigrants and our role in bringing Shalom to our broken world.
Here’s how it works:
Each day, read the scripture, and pray for understanding in how God wants you to respond to His Word. Ask him how he is calling you and Everyday Church to radically love our neighbors. Be open and ready to hear from Him, and lean into the mission He has chosen us to partner with him in.
Will you accept the challenge?
We hope you will. Each time we’ve embarked on a church-wide prayer challenge, we’ve seen God show up powerfully in the lives of his people, and we’re expecting nothing less in the 40 days to come. We have no idea where God might be calling us to change and serve his people, but we’re committed to following his leading.
Praying for you and this next 40 days that God would use us to heal and comfort our broken world by loving immigrants, strangers, outsiders and everyone around us – our neighbors – as we love ourselves.

As believers, we’ve heard Jesus’ command, “Love your neighbor as yourself.” (Matt. 19:19) and yet for many followers of Jesus, we don’t even know our own neighbors. How can we love them if we don’t know their stories, their pain, and their strengths? If we don’t know them, how can we work together with our neighbors to bring shalom to our neighborhood?
Join us this morning at 11 am as we launch our new teaching series which will challenge us as a church to consider how God is calling us to love our neighbors and our neighborhood.

Living in community is a beautiful thing, but it’s also messy, confusing and even painful at times. We know that community is important to our Father. He knows that we can serve him better and carry out his mission most effectively when we work and live together, with the support, care and encouragement that only comes from walking through life with others. Why then, if community and relationships are so important, do they feel so difficult at times?
At Everyday Church we are passionate about building life-changing relationships with God, and with each other, and that’s why courses like this one are so important to us. The Emotionally Healthy Relationships Course is a 7-week class that equips participants with 8 practical skills to love others well – as mature followers of Jesus. Through it you will learn to navigate some of the most common challenges of life in community: how to listen, how to have a clean-fight and what to do when you feel hurt by someone’s actions, are all on the agenda. We also have a lot of fun together.

It’s that time of year friends – Autumn has arrived! And that means it’s time for our annual Everyday Church Apple Picking trip. Join us for a day of picking (and eating) apples, apple cider donuts, gram-worthy views and of course – a great time with your Everyday family. It’s always a ton of fun. Friends and family of all ages are welcome. The orchard is free to visit, and apples are free to eat on site. You can purchase apples to take home.

When God reveals himself through the creation of his chosen people, the Israelites, they are chosen as a way for God to be in relationship with his creation. The Israelites are chosen to bring monotheism, the divine law, and the Messiah, and in this way, to become a people who connect others to God.
In this series we will look at God’s covenant relationship with his chosen people. As we look at God’s instructions and promises to Abraham and later to Moses and the Israelites, we learn a great deal about the character of God. He is a God who wants to be in relationship with us. He is a God who is demanding and reprimanding, calling his people to live in a faithful way. He is also a gracious Father constantly forgiving, and inviting us to draw closer to Him.
