Jesus’ resurrection isn’t just something important that happened. It changed everything. On Easter, we don’t just remember what happened– we celebrate what is happening. We have a new faith. We belong to a new family. And we have a new mission. We have nothing short of a new life!
This inspiring series will help you identify areas in your own life where this new life can take hold, and will offer practical, concrete ideas about how.

Someone at ECC recently told me that they love singing songs in both English and Spanish. For them, being able to sing in Spanish communicates that they belong in this family. Like many others at our church, I don’t speak Spanish. But I can learn a song. It has blessed my life deeply on Sundays to hear everyone, of every ethnicity, singing out to Jesus in Spanish. I think it’s something very special about Everyday Church. Whether you speak English or Spanish, you belong.
When we started our first home group meeting, we had dual language Bibles. When we started singing songs together, we included Spanish songs. Now we have Spanish translation (thanks to the amazing Translation Team), and we’re continually adding new Spanish songs to our worship. But language is just the beginning.
Pray that God would make us, not just a multi-language or multi-ethnic church, but a truly multi-cultural church.
After this I looked, and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands. And they cried out in a loud voice: “Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb.” Revelation 7:9-10

According to Phillip: The most important question we can ask is, “Why?”
Why are we here? Why does the universe exist? Why is there something rather than nothing?
At our next Reasonable Faith meeting, we will be looking at God and cosmology through the lenses of modern science, philosophy, and theology. The existence of the universe has never been more of a problem for naturalism than it is now. We will discuss recent findings in cosmology that support the beginning of the universe, in addition to seeing how thinkers like Aristotle, Aquinas, and Leibniz provided answers to these questions.

What: According to Phillip: “We’ll take a look at Bart Ehrman’s latest book, How Jesus Became God. It was released late last month and is already making waves. I was reading it on the bus and a fellow and I started a conversation about it. Bart has put together his case and it is important to know what he says as many will be echoing his thoughts after him. We will discuss his case, its methods and merits. It will be a journey through theology, New Testament Source Criticism, and the philosophy of history. We look forward to a great discussion as this meeting will primarily focus on you as questioner and responder. Come ready to learn and then to be able to share with others what you discover.
