For the next 40 Days (leading up to having our Teaching Services every Sunday), we are going to pray fervently together. God longs to respond to our prayers! Please use the prompts below each day. Take a few minutes to contemplate the Scripture and then pray from your heart. Continue to focus on the Lord and pray throughout the day!
We are also challenging Everyday participants to fast one day each week during this season of prayer (and perhaps participate in a longer fast with us on the final week). You can read some more information about fasting here: Fast. Will you fast this week? On which day?
Thank you for praying with us! It will be exciting to see how God responds.
This Sunday we’re starting a something very important. Will you please pray about this?In preparation for October 13th (when we’ll begin Teaching Services every Sunday), we are going to pray like crazy. This is a spiritual endeavor and prayer is the most important preparation we can make for it. This Sunday, as we begin a new series of messages called Everyday Church we’ll also start 40 Days of Prayer. We’re asking every participant of our church to pray fervently, every day, for 40 days. We’re also inviting everyone to fast. I’ll explain the details this Sunday.
In the meantime, please pray that our church fully engages. I know it might seem weird to pray that we would pray, but it isn’t! Prayer is a gift from the Lord– a grace– and He is able to reveal our own brokenness and powerlessness to us in such a way that inspires us to depend upon him through prayer. Please pray God uses these 40 Days of Prayer to make this church devoted to prayer (Acts 2:42; Colossians 4:2).
And please also pray for:
* This exciting development Oct 13th (Teaching Services every Sunday).
* Our school supply packing party this Sunday and the 180 classrooms who will receives the $1,000s of school supplies we’re donating (we’ll send any teachers who come that Sunday home with a bag of supplies– invite your teacher friends!)
* Our Labor Day Picnic and the opportunity to meet our neighbors there.
Don’t delay– pray right now!

This series will clarify our dreams and values. Anyone participating with Everyday Church will gain a clearer understanding of what we’re about, and anyone considering involvement will have a much better idea of what they’re getting themselves into!
This church is on the move! As we prepare to take an important step Oct 13– starting our Teaching Services every week– it’s important we are clear about why we even exist in the first place, and what we hope to accomplish. We want to help you find your place and your purpose in God’s plans for Everyday Church.
“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed people can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.” -Margaret Mead
God does some of his best work through everyday people. God himself became and everyday person– a carpenter’s son, born in a no-place town. And the church Jesus is forming isn’t just something to go to— it’s something to be, every day.
