Pray For Us: An Update From Nathan

Volunteer PartyLet’s pray for one another at Everyday Church. Even though many of us travel during the summer, we should still keep one another in mind as we pray. The apostle Paul loved to pray for the churches he planted even when he wasn’t with them, and he encourages us to do the same:

And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. Ephesians 6:18

So, let us pray for one another right now:

Holy Spirit, who should I pray for at Everyday Church? [Listen]. Our Father, I pray for ___________. [Pray for them!]

Pray For Us: An Update From Wendy

This past Sunday many of us celebrated our fathers, thanking them for their impact and love for us. But for millions of kids in the US and many living in our neighborhood, Father’s Day is a painful reminder that their dad is not around.

“But you, God see the trouble of the afflicted; you consider their grief and take it in hand. The victims commit themselves to you; you are the helper of the fatherless.” Psalms 10:14

Please pray for opportunities for caring adults to be in their lives to help fill the gap that their fathers leave. Pray they would know their heavenly Father who loves them unconditionally.

Pray For Us: An Update From Larry

The Everyday Church Princess Retreat is only a few days away. A group of pre-teen girls, mom’s and other ladies are heading out of the city this weekend to discover their identity as princesses of the King, Jesus Christ, and the adventure He has in store for their lives. They’ll be enjoying fun activities and reflecting on the strength God has given them as His daughters.

The prayer is simple: God, use this weekend to give these young girls a firm understanding of your love for them, their identity in you and the great honor it is to be your daughter. Please establish a foundation in their hearts that is rooted in your love and grace. And prepare them for the amazing lives you have in store for them. Amen!

Pray For Us: An Update From Matt

Summer Nights 2014We are really excited about what God has in store for the Everyday Youth Group this summer. We are focussing on reaching out and connecting with other middle- and high-school aged kids in our community. Please pray for our “summer nights”– BBQ’s we will be having in the park this summer.

Pray the word gets out and enthusiasm spreads to other kids outside our church to come hang out.

Pray our kids do a great job providing hospitality and including them in the group.
