Adventures, vacations, and… well, let’s be honest… not as much learning, now that school’s out. Kids can lose ground academically over the summer, but we want to help.
That’s why Everyday Kidz’ next teaching series is Summer Book Club. We’ll read some great books together, all focused on compassion. We’ll discover that compassion is much more than a feeling. Compassion takes action! It involves doing something to help. While we’re at it, we’ll help keep those reading skills sharp.

Just how much influence should we exert on our kids? Are our children bonsai trees we must be prune and force into the right shape? Or are they wildflowers?
Expect some surprises in this series. For example, while many people think wildflowers are the easiest thing to grow, gardeners know better. If you just scatter seeds, then you get weeds. To grow a beautiful flower garden, you have to work on the soil.
This is a series about parenting, but it’s bigger than that. What Scripture teaches about how to raise healthy, faithful sons and daughters applies to a number of our relationships. Whether it’s our kids, nieces and nephews, students, small group participants, or neighbors, it’s important to understand God’s way of cultivating faith.
