Why are we canceling church?!
Well, that’s a strange question, because it isn’t possible to “cancel church.” Remember, church is not a building or an event. Church is a people! That’s why this is an Everyday Church, not a Sunday Church. We’re more interested in being the church, every day, than we are in going to church. We think God is too.
So we haven’t cancelled church, nor could we if we wanted to. We’ve just cancelled one of the many things the church does. And hey, it’s only one Sunday! I know, I know… we miss you too! Absence really does make the heart grow fonder. No worries, though. We’ll resume our Weekly Teaching Services with a brand new series of messages next week. Stay tuned!
This weekend is our annual Rest Retreat, and many Everyday Participants will be away. Not going on the retreat? Please use the time you’ve set aside to attend our teaching service to enjoy some godly rest: stop, rest, delight, and contemplate.

Jesus’ resurrection isn’t just something important that happened. It changed everything. On Easter, we don’t just remember what happened– we celebrate what is happening. We have a new faith. We belong to a new family. And we have a new mission. We have nothing short of a new life!
This inspiring series will help you identify areas in your own life where this new life can take hold, and will offer practical, concrete ideas about how.

God calls us all to be devoted to prayer. As parents, part of our job of raising our kids is to teach them to be devoted as well. But sometimes praying with our children can be challenging. At the Family Prayer Brunch, we will provide some activities for kids of all ages, from babies to teenagers, to help get us praying together as families.

For most of us, this time of year means the hope of warm weather and baseball season coming soon. But for thousands of NYC students and teachers, it’s time for the stress of State Testing. The pressure for both students and teachers builds each year. Now, school funding, teachers’ jobs, and middle school and high school acceptance for students all are effected by the performance of kids in 3rd through 8th grades. Please pray for students and teachers this week as they prepare for the first week of testing on April 1-3.
